Foothills Lions Club
Annual Events
Each year, the Foothills Lions Club hosts a series of annual events designed to bring the community together.

These events are focused on connection, participation, and creating opportunities for people to come together and enjoy shared experiences. As a club, our primary funding comes from our campground, which allows our events to remain accessible and centred around giving back to the community.

Duck Derby
The Foothills Lions Duck Derby is a fun annual raffle that has become a local tradition.

With a limited number of tickets available, it adds excitement to community events and gives participants the chance to win great prizes. The Duck Derby is a simple and enjoyable way to take part in something local and be part of the day.

Light-Up Diamond Valley
Held on the first Saturday of December, Light-Up Diamond Valley marks the beginning of the holiday season in our community.

It’s an experience that brings the town to life—where lights glow, fire pits crackle, and the streets fill with people gathering, exploring, and celebrating together. Visitors can wander through local businesses, enjoy festive activities, take part in familiar traditions, and discover something new along the way.

From hay rides to visits with Santa, Light-Up is a chance to slow down, connect with others, and enjoy the spirit of the season in a way that feels uniquely Diamond Valley.
