Location: Bob Lochhead Memorial Park Campground is located on the Sheep River in Diamond Valley, Alberta

This campground is operated by the Foothills Lions Club
Season: Starts May 1st 2026 – October 15th 2026

Position Summary

This posting is for contract positions. Perfect for couples or Retirees. We are seeking reliable and friendly Campground hosts to join our team to contribute to the Foothills Lions Community Campground. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoys working outdoors, are friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with the public and team members. Our hosts are the welcoming face of our campground and help ensure guests have a safe, clean, and enjoyable experience during their stay with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet campers and assist with check-ins, reservations, and general inquiries

  • Maintain cleanliness of campsites, restrooms, and common areas

  • Perform light maintenance and groundskeeping (minor repairs, restocking supplies)

  • Enforce campground rules in a professional and courteous manner

  • Assist in the safety and security of the campground

  • Maintain green space, including grass cutting and garden maintenance

  • Promote a positive, respectful campground atmosphere

  • Report maintenance or safety issues to management

  • Answer questions and resolve minor concerns

Qualifications

  • Friendly, customer-service-oriented

  • Ability to work independently and be part of a great team

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills

  • Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs

  • Previous campground, hospitality, or maintenance experience is a plus (but not required)

  • Your own RV is required to live in on site (site has power, water, sewer and WIFI)

  • Familiar with Park Reservation System and Square is a bonus (training provided)

  • Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License and RCMP Criminal Record Check (cost reimbursed)

  • First Aid and CPT certification is a bonus (training available)

  • Promote a positive, respectful campground atmosphere

  • Experience with herbicides and WHIMIS regulations
